I've got something to work with now anyway. I wasn't aware that the MAP still had to be wired up. I'll hook it back up and verify my TPS signal with a multimeter and see what happens.

I'll let you know how it goes.

I appreciate the help and the quick responses.

Sorry, I posted the wrong calibration. See attached for the right one. I did have the "use modified TPS signal" option set under the MAP parameter settings. Sorry for the confusion.

I currently don't have a MAP sensor wired up at all on the car. The only place I could draw vacuum from would be one ...

OBD2 has all the good stuff of OBD1 but with the bonus of a built in granny. :) (i.e. the secondary O2 sensor to make sure your catalytic converter is working properly, or is there at all)

Also, as mentioned before, you can use a Hondata with OBD1.

If your goal is to make sure you minimize ...

I'm sure you probably thought of this, but i'd be looking real hard for a vacuum leak. Is it surging?

Noticed another interesting thing when I went back and looked at the datalogs. In the map440 datalog, looks like the injectors are running full scale all the time.

Attached are 2 calibrations and 2 datalog files. The TPS270 files are the ITR calibration modified for the TPS and 270 cc injectors. the MAP440 files are where I trimmed the fuel and set it back to look for a MAP signal (though there is no MAP sensor) to get the car to start and run somewhat.

The ...

Stumped with s300

I'll try to explain this without being too long winded, but no promises.

I am out of ideas on this issue, so any help would be much appreciated:

I am running a built NA B16 with TWM ITB's on a P28 ecu with a s300 installed.
Also the ITB setup is using 270 cc injectors and the MAP has been removed ...

I would really consider swapping to a manual transmission. It will make all the difference in the world. While you have the tranny out, an exedy lightweight flywheel and clutch would be a really good thing too. Let it wind up fast.

Any rotating assemblies i have balanced have happened like this.

1. Spin the crank on a balancing rig and balance it (nothing attached)

2. Pivot the rods on the crank end, let the piston end sit on the scale, find the lightest one, and make them all match.

3. Pivot the rods on the piston (wrist ...

Not sure but I have heard that some of the chips around override error codes basically to be forgiving for some of the jackleg swaps running around. Could be that it disables the cel altogether. Just a guess though

I like the coilovers myself. You can get a set of Ground Controls pretty cheap and they use Eibach springs. Gives you adjustability over ride height and handling somewhat. With springs, if you don't like how it sits or rides, you are stuck with it (unless you change springs again). Oh yeah, and dont ...

<sound of crickets chirping> :|

Ok then, i'll answer some of my own questions now:

BalancedPerformance in Sugar Hill, GA has experience tuning road track hondas and is a Hondata distributor.

Also, I bought a USDM P28 ecu because i found a good deal on one.

I still would like to know if the ...

s300 and p30 ecu, itb's, etc.

I am running (or trying to run) a b16a2 with twm itb's and a #57300 competition cams setup and have a few questions.

1. I know the Hondata site states that the jdm ecu's can't be used with an s300 because of the smaller case. Are the physical dimensions of the case the only problem, or are some ...
