Update:
Got in contact with Xenocron Tuning. They say most likely the core ECU itself is damaged and offered to do a Kpro swap to a new core if I send it in along with a new core.
I have tracked down an 03 MT CRV ECU (PPA), the Kpro ECU reference suggests that all PPA ecus from manual CRVs are Kpro ...
