I don't know all of them, but there are also changes made to the speed sensor circuitry to allow the high frequency sensor/dash gauges to work with the low frequency ECU. When I originally got my k-pro (2006) I was sent an unmodified ECU, even with the harness it wouldn't show the vehicle speed ...

update Kmanager on your computer with the latest version and then upload your calibration to the ecu.

it's not unusual to reduce cranking fuel trim 20-30 % with larger injectors. I run -10% with only 410cc injectors. I can't see any applications where you would add fuel to the cranking trim.

Well, it seems McAfee is no smarter than AVG. I did a manual scan of the Kmanager folder, and it quarantined Kmanager.exe, called it a trojan, New Malware.bx. I have forwarded this information by e-mail to McAfee, as I am unable to add it to my trusted files list. Maybe they can fix this at their ...

Kmanager disappears

This has happened 3 times over the past few months. I don't access Kmanager much as I'm pretty happy with my tune.

I go to the start menu, click the icon for Kmanager, and a box pops up saying that the short cut no longer points to the file. I look in the Kmanager folder in program files, and ...

tuning for changing elevation

The Honda ECU incorporates a barosensor. I assume that this sensor compensates for fuel and/or ignition as the pressure rises and falls, whether it's from elevation changes or weather changes. Does anyone know if this feature is disabled in K-proed ECUs. I know that the knock tables are gone, and I ...

You got the code for mis-fire. That's all that the ECU can put out.

That password would also have to include set and clear security, otherwise someone would just erase the ECU and upload their own cal.

It's a bitch of a job, just did mine on the RSX. I was installing new cams and springs, so it was a little easier to put on the chain when I could move each camshaft. If your cams are still bolted down, I would think that the chain tensioner must be removed to allow for enough slack to install the ...

Either your tune is totally out to lunch or you have mechanical issues that must be recitfied first. I'd start with the mechanical.

Find a new tuner. Write it off as experience, don't throw good money after bad. Personally I wouldn't let them touch my car for tuning if they can't even do the mechanical work correctly. I know everybody makes mistakes, but this seems excessive.

The cal is just a file, it has to be stored somewhere on the hard drive, possibly in the calibrations folder of Kmanager as a default unless your tuner put it somewhere else. Do a search for *.kal files if you can't find it.
