Re: AFR goes lean when accelerating, only on closed loop *pi

I assuming that u are using a wide-band AFR for your road tune :)
Just to share some stuff I pick up from using the S300.

1) Target Lambda target is not useful for tuning. This is because when u throttle off, the reading of the AFR are taken in account, resulting in inaccurate output.
What I do ...

Re: AFR goes lean when accelerating, only on closed loop *pi

btw what is the maximum boost u are going. This is because ur map is only tune up to 11.9 psi, any boost beyond that will cause your engine to misbehave. Do check your ignition setting, looks strange to me.

Re: AFR goes lean when accelerating, only on closed loop *pi

The timing will not change if you adjust your fuel table. Have someone drive while you adjust the fuel tables in vacuum while cruising. Getting your AFRs perfect while cruising takes some time. But when complete, your car will drive like a charm.

thank you ok thats great, the fuel tables i have ...

Strange is that i already had closed loop ok with this settings before my last WB sensor death. When i bought this one, same part has the last one, stopped working well. I only changed one for another and made the inicialization procedures!!

I had the same problem with the open loop and close ...

Spunkster, thanx for the advice.
I did a datalog and found out the cause of the problem.

It is due to the IAT compensation.
During the tune, the IATc was 0% as the IAT was about 47C (117F).
After I stop the car, the IAT reading went up over 50C (122F) and the IATc was at about -1% which cause the ...

any ideas about my problem...got the engine braking taken care of for that guy via wiki
Could it be your purge control solenoid valve?

AFR vs IAT & ECT

Engine: B18C Spec R
S300 (P28)
Smanager V1.4.8
WB: PLX SM-AFR WB inputs to D14 (Gauge AFR values matches with S300 AFR values)
Part throttle tuning done at Closed Loop with S.Trim adjustment set to 0%
And ECU reset done prior to tuning.

Re: is it in closed loop?

long story short: i cant get it back to operating in closed loop properly - that is, at 14.7:1

but looking at this log - is it in closed loop?

Ur wideband target voltage is set at 2.36 volt while your voltage/lambda conversion table is set at 2.31v for AFR of 14.7.

Therefore in close loop ...
