Connect just the FlashPro to my laptop Qs

Hi:
Q1.Can I just connect my laptop to FlashPro itself WITHOUT the other end connects to my car's OBD 2 port?

Can I surmise that the only use cases is the following?

- Upload a new tune/calibration file to the FlashPro first
- Download whatever calibration file from the FlashPro to my laptop
- Upgrade or downgrade the software/firmware of the FlashPro hardware itself

Q2. How can I access the FlashPro to see how many copies of the calibration files is being stored in it (I read that it can store up to 2 versions)?

Q2.1 Assuming I can see there is 2 versions of calibration file in the FlashPro, HOW can I selectively choose which one to UPLOAD to my car's ECU assuming the FlashPro's connection is end-to-end from laptop to FlashPro and FlashPro to OBD 2 port?
