FlashPro low & high cam angle's tuning advices

Post by Hondasingapore »

hi:
I am trying to get some insightful opinions here with regards to low cam and high cam angle VTC tuning recommendations based on the depth and breath of some folks in this forum. I am not going to tune my own car, but I just want to understand more about the following:

q1.
- If I were to get more low end grunt/torque (before VTEC crossover), what is the recommended values for low cam angle and high cam angle with regards to VTC?

My tuner leaves most of the values in Col 1 to 5 as 0 across the whole RPM from 500 to 6000 rpm for the low cam angle. So the million dollar question is what is the recommended values for a set of TODA A3 camshafts? Please see attachment.

May be he has his reasons. Please also refer to the high cam angle attachment.

q2.
Assuming stock block and head (never skimmed before), what is the recommended maximum VTC angle without p-2-v or v-2-p mishaps when the stock K20A VTC is 50 degree. 38 or 40 or???

Thanks.

The object when VTC tuning is to tune all of the VTC angle tables and then build the VTC low/high tables by blending the best of each angle.
