is CAN gateway need for civic type r fk8 2021? UNKNOWN status on the jailbreak tab

Hello i recently bought a hondata and trying to jailbreak, but we miss to input the order number on the jailbreak tab we purchased it mid nigth here in New Zealand so we thought the process will take 1 working day so my friend push the locked ecu from the hondata and now when i go to jailbreak tab and want to input the order number for instant jailbreak but does not allow me to and the status is UNKNOWN. Is that mean that i need to purchase or use the CAN gateway for the jailbreak in order to fix this problem? or anything i can do to fix this?

You will have to try it with the CAN Gateway installed.

thanks for the reply, I see i just want to make sure the can gateway is required i dont want to buy it and then still not solve the problem :(. but is this the only way to fix my problem?
