Read Protect Calibration - how to undo it?

Post by scofield »

I initialized my FlashPro on a laptop without it being connected to my car. I enabled the 'Read Protect Calibration' feature. What are the implications of this, and how can I undo it?

If you have done this you cannot read the calibration from the FlashPro and will have to upload a calibration to it to overwrite it.

To confirm, since I currently have the FlashPro connected only to my laptop (not the vehicle), the 'Upload' option is unavailable.

Does this mean I must connect the FlashPro to the vehicle and turn the ignition on to successfully upload a new calibration and overwrite the existing one? Please let me know if there is any way to do this via laptop only."

To overwrite the read protected calibration you need to upload a non-read protected calibration to the FlashPro and can then upload that to the ECU.
