Krpo BAT voltage issue
Re: Krpo BAT voltage issue
Can you tell me where on the OEM motherboard I can probe to check voltage? I've tested the hardlines that go into the motherboard on the inside of the ecu and they also show 14v+ so I know its not an ecu plug issue either.
Re: Krpo BAT voltage issue
Pin A2 for + and pin A4 for ground
Re: Krpo BAT voltage issue
Is that the male ecu pins that are soldered into the motherboard? Because I have already tested those and they both show 14+ volts. Is there somewhere on the actual motherboard or kpro daughter board I can test voltages?
I just got done doing more testing as well. I wired both the switched and constant power lines from my conversion harness directly to the battery and tested all the way down to the ecu pins once more and every single test shows 14+ volts. It seems this proves the issue is not in my wiring harness. So I will bring it up again. How about I ship my ecu to you and you test it in a known working car?

Re: Krpo BAT voltage issue
There is nowhere else to test on the ECU. To save on shipping and possibly finding nothing it is best to try to test this locally. If it works as it is supposed to on a different vehicle then the issue is not with the ECU or K-Pro. Based on the parts and customization it is most likely that this is a vehicle specific issue and not the ECU.
Re: Krpo BAT voltage issue
Im sorry but that just doesnt make sense. I have run every test from the battery all the way down to the ecu including the pins inside the ecu soldered to the main board and voltage is a stable 14+ volts everywhere. The only place I see the wrong voltage is in kmanager. I have even purchased a $300 fluke meter to prove that my meter is "fast enough" to see fluctuation and they dont exist outside of the kmanager software. Every time I open a thread you all say its something on my end. First it was my battery, despite testing good I bought another one. Then it was my alternator, it tested good but I bought another one. Then it was my multimeter, its fine but I bought another one. I have definitively proved it is not my car thats the issue here for the past 2/3 years. I know exactly 0 people with a kpro in their car locally to test mine in. I've already spent hundreds and probably thousands of dollars proving my car isn't the issue, I really couldn't care less to pay shipping costs.
What would be helpful is if you showed me where to test on the mainboard of the prb for battery voltage that IS NOT the plug pins. If I could verify the incorrect voltage on the actual mainboard of my prb I can prove that either is or isnt the ECU itself too.
Whats even crazier about your claim that its my car is that I wired an inline fuse for both the constant and switched power DIRECTLY to the battery and the kmanager STILL shows the wrong voltage and fluctuates while every multimeter I own shows a stable 14+ volts.

Re: Krpo BAT voltage issue
You know, I have reached the point where I just dont care anymore. I have spent so much time and money trying to resolve this issue and its time I switch to a different platform. I realize that not every issue is an ecu/kpro problem but the way you all conduct yourselves here is just crazy. Countless times I have seen people in my situation with every test under the sun to prove a point and hondata always gives the same canned response and in most cases stops responding altogether.
Goodbye hondata. This was my first experience with it and it will be my last.
