Engine is running or bad contact from the WEN pin in OBDII conector on Type R fl5

Post by Rares »

I have a 2023 FL5 Type R that was just jailbroken and when I try to write a calibration with Hondata, I get the following error. Can you please confirm if it is due to the invalid jailbreak or is there another problem, and if so, how can it be overcome? The car is running, I have warmed up the engine and the battery is charged to 12.5V.

Now I can't write a calibration, but I can't unlock the Hondata either.

Thanks in advance.

We received support information - the ECU is not going into programming mode. Try disconnecting the battery for a minute and see if that helps. If not, put the original file (read during the jailbreak) back in and then you should be able to return to stock.

Thanks for the answer.

I disconnected the battery for a few minutes but it didn't change anything.
We rewrote the original file, the initial backup, but I still can't unlock.

I basically can't use Flashpro on FL5 but I can't on FK8 either, I'm stuck.

Is it possible that the jailbreak was not ok? If so, why did Flashpro let me lock it to the car?
Any other suggestions?

What did you use to jailbreak the ECU?

It was a manually edited jailbreak written with a Kess 3 interface.

What solutions do I have now to recover (unlock) my Flashpro?
Do I need a can bridge?
Should I try another jailbreak solution?

Thanks!

So far I haven't received any constructive answer or any hint that would help me diagnose or solve the problem.

Flashpro doesn't manage to write any bit via OBD, the process dies at the beginning (10-15% progress) and after that the car starts without any problem.
Considering this, what could it be?

1. Is the jailbreak not ok?
2. Is there a problem with CAN communication, maybe an additional protection on 2024 European cars?
3. Could I buy and test with a CAN bridge, would that help?
4. Could my flashpro be defective and not work on FL5 although it works without problems on FK8?
5. Is there something I'm missing that I could do additionally?

Thanks!

There is a problem with the jailbreak.

I replied to the email asking for information to create an RMA. Please reply to that email with the requested info.
