Looking for some input from anyone running or who has tuned a K-Tuned 3.5” SRI on an 8th-gen Civic Si/K20Z3 using Hondata FlashPro.
My setup:
- K20Z3
- K-Tuned 3.5” SRI
- 1320 Performance Tri-Y header (soon to be installed)
- Hondata FlashPro
- Stock MAP sensor
- Sea level
- 91-octane pump gas
Because of the 3.5” intake, I’m planning to switch from MAF to MAP/Speed Density rather than trying to rescale the MAF.
For those who have tuned a similar setup:
1. Which Hondata calibration/basemap did you use as your starting point?
2. Would you recommend Speed Density for the 3.5” intake, or have you had better results properly scaling the MAF?
3. What changes did you make to the fuel tables after switching to Speed Density?
4. What lambda/AFR are you targeting at WOT on 91 octane?
5. Did the larger intake require much adjustment to the MAP-based fuel tables compared with the Hondata basemap?
6. Any VTC or ignition changes you’d recommend for a basic bolt-on K20Z3 on 91?
7. Are there any particular parameters I should pay close attention to when datalogging this setup?
I’m not looking to blindly copy someone else’s tune. I’m trying to get a solid starting point and understand what other K20Z3/FlashPro users have found works well with the K-Tuned 3.5” intake, especially on 91 octane at sea level.
Any screenshots of your relevant FlashPro settings or examples of what you changed from the basemap would be appreciated.
