Kpro v4 Question

Buying a kpro v4 PRB from a buddy that’s parting out a car he bought. I’m doing a k swap on my eg and want to use this ecu. My question is if the ecu is owner locked can I still use the ecu and upload no calibrations to it or is it completely useless sort of like buying a flashpro that’s ecu locked?

If they have set a password you will need to go to the registered owner tab and click on reset security password. It will then send a code to the registered owner email address or text to the phone number. Then you will have to contact the registered owner for that code. We do not have any access to the password and cannot reset it any other way.

after i get the code for the password, can the new owner enter his vin and info right after that?

You should reset or remove the password first.
