Kmanager says "Ignition OFF" and fuel pump doesn't turn on?

Post by K20egcw »

I just recently purchased Kpro, and for some reason I cant get my Kpro to work. I've searched and asked in the Kpro questions/answers thread, and still couldnt find anything. Anyways, my car starts and runs when I'm on the stock PRC ECU. I'll unplug it, plug the Kpro in, plug the USB into the computer and when I turn my key on, Kmanager says my ignition is off still. I reinstalled Kmanager 2 or 3 times now, thinking that was the problem, but apparently its not. I took it over to my buddies house and tried it in his K20a2 swapped EK, and it read ignition ON, but the fuel pump wouldnt kick on. I'm stumped now, so any help would be greatly appreciated

Did you purchase this used? Did it ever work for you? Have you talked to the person who sold you this if it never worked?

Yeah, I purchased off a guy off K20a.org. He assured me that it worked, and the only reason he was selling it was because he blew up his motor on a 100 shot of nitrous, and was parting his car out. I received it, and just tried putting it in my hatch, but nothing. It did do more in my friends K20a2 EK than I can get it to do in my car. We got it to upload a map, but the fuel pump wouldnt prime at all (the start of the upload, or the end). I put it back into my car with his map on it, but it still acted in the same manor as before.

On the car that it allows it to upload on, did you have the imobilizer disabled in the calibration?

I would highly recommend trying to get your money back as trying to get this working may end up costing you more than if you had purchased it brand new through one of our dealers.
