It was my first night installing the S200b and using the ROMulator.
ROMulator connected to the serial port on the laptop using the supplied cable.
Red wire (Pin #1) is oriented correctly to the 28-pin socket in the ECU.
Emulation settings read Transtronics 1.xx (COM1 connected) or something like that. Real-time enabled.
The ROMulator has a red light on.
Turn the key to IGN2 position. The blue box light was solid red when I initially turned the key. When I went to upload the ROM image to the blue box, and turn the IGN off then back on, the light would start blinking on the blue box. I got perplexed after double checking the possible causes and put the previous ECU I had back in. I called it a night and drove home.
Now I gotta burn a chip using the burner. Maybe my ROMulator kicked the can too. It was a brand new unit.

I finally got mine to work, It was either I had it in wrong or its because I upgraded to Romeditor 3.5.5 and messed with my USB settings, Now it works great, It was the biggest pain in the ASS and now I can't get my LM-1 wide band to work with hondata. I'm going to the Tuning session by hondata tomorrow sunday in CA. So maybe I'll get some good info to share.

Mine works now too. This time I left the datalogging cable unplugged and didn't connect the VAFC harness...tho I doubt that matters. I just didn't want to go back and redo the MAP corrections back to 0.
Next I'll see if I can datalog and use the ROMulator simultaneously to make tuning easier on myself.

What did you do to fix this ? I am having same problems with my romulator..Works fine for over a year and now stopped working all of a sudden. Seems to download OK but I get a CEL and the red light in the blue box flashes.. This is odd

I got it working again
The connector for the ribbon cable had come off inside the romulator. It's basically like and IDE harddrive connector and it comes off vey easy..Don't know if my warranty's void now ,but at least it's working..Others with the same problem might want to check inside the romulator

make sure you have a real full, 9wire, db9/serial/com cable, when you hook up to the s200 box. some cables show 9 pins on both ends but dont really have all 9 wires. I learned the 2 month long way
