tuning-need something explained

Let me know if this is how open/closed loop works. From what I understand, the ecu is in open loop when the car first started. It adjusts the a/f mixture based on sensor inputs. closed loop is when the car is warmed up and begins to use the o2 for the a/f mixture. This is what I need explained- If I tune in open loop, won't the ecu correct the tune after it goes back to closed loop. another question. If I am in closed loop and the ecu sees boost, will it automatically go into open loop and run off of the tune/maps. im sure this is a silly question to most of you but i would appreciate any help.

Part throttle should be tuned as close as possible to where it should be so that when you enable closed loop the long term trim stays as close to 0 as possible. In the closed loop settings you can set when it changes from open to closed loop based on load.
