Im a newbie after some desperate help, i have scoured forums for days on the net after a solution, heres my problem,
I installed a crap intake manifold off ebay, my B16 ran like a bag of poo, so I invested and bought a Skunk2 Pro Intake Manifold and 68mm Throttle body, got the mani bored out the same and installed it on my civic,
however ever since I cannot sort out an Idle problem.. with the idle air control valve connector connected it idles but when warmed up the car revv's up and down at idle. but after about ten miles of driving kicks out a whole load of white smoke out the exhaust.
with the idle air control valve connector disconnected the car idles fine but hesitates on acceleration, it rev's fine after the initial hesitation. Which makes it really hard to potter on in 2nd through town as the throttle is eighther on or off theres no inbetween. And no white smoke what so ever comes out my exhaust.
After scouring forums all over the net, every one who has had the problem of their car idling up and down has just cleaned their IACV and its worked fine.
I have cleaned my IACV several times, replaced it and still the same problem.
I have reset the ecu several times,
I have re-set the TPS to within spec,
All connectors are in the rite place,
There seems no leakes in gaskets etc...
SOme one please help!! Im hoping to go down the strip next sat but I dont want to look like a tit on the start line with my car hesitating on pull away!!!
