Hondata, on my k20 engine turbo with pure water injection i need more spark energy.
I'm looking at the Ls-2 coil for replace the stock k20 coil because them can handle more dwell and produce more spark energy for ignite the gasoline-water mixture.
The Ls-2 coil have a internal igniter like the stock k20 coil.
My only question is about the issue like as interference that can generate the presence of a spark plug cable??
Do you have any experience about the coil set up with spark plug wire on stock ecu+ kpro?!

How much power are you making?

I Made about 550 hp with a gt3582r garrett at 22psi of boost with pump fuel (98ron) and pure water injection ( water to fuel ratio 25%).
I inject this amount of water for suppress knock but now i want to turn up the boost at 27 psi for have a lot of power.
With this amount of water and boost i have the issue of missfire and i need more spark energy.

There are people making well over 1000hp that are using the stock coils and no other aftermarket ignition components. You should not need to change these.

Spunkster, Yes it's right, but this people use race gas...with water injection is another story.
Water-fuel mixture need a strong spark for ignite them..
Do you Think a plug wire +coil setup can generate a noise interference for the ECU?

More than likely this will cause massive amounts of interference.

Ok Spunkster..
Because i want to use them with a msd spark lead that have a RFI suppression..this can help??
I have convert the dwell degree on ms and at 8000 rpm is about 2.7 ms..
Do you have the Max dwell value for the stock k20 coil?!
I try to search this on a lot of website but i don't find them.

This is not something we have any data on. You are trying something that you are kind of on your own with. We do not have details on the maximum dwell these coils can handle.

Spunkster, i read on many forum that the denso coil COP maxout at 3.2 mS..
I Think the stock k20 coil are at the limit
