Can someone please help me with a walk though for first start up in a virgin Kpro?
Unable to upload new calibration. Sent ECU back to Hondata to check it and they said there was no issues with the ECU.
Contrary to the public documentation my system does not list the Kpro under "Universal serial bus controllers"
in Device Manager in Windows.
It is listed under "ECU Hardware (Hondata)" see attached photo.
Is this correct? I'm unsure if i have my laptop is setup correctly since Hondata lists USB drivers is under the "Universal serial bus controllers"
When selecting "ECU Hardware (Hondata)" I can see the driver information and i believe it is setup since the ECU is recognized when i plug and unplug the USB cable from the device.

This is what i first see when turning Ignition on * see attached.
Drivers installed, Online, Ignition on. I also get the little temp pop up "ECU connected" on the datalog tab.
Is this the correct boot up sequence?
As you an see the Immobilizer is enabled on the settings. So i can NOT start the car (1996 Civic with Hybrid racing conversion harness with Rywire engine harness on a K24 Accord engine)

when changing the Calibration for my situation is the correct method.....

By default when i select that map the Enable Immobilizer is already unselected.
I select the Upward Arrow on the display panel "Upload Changes To ECU" it has a green progression animation till about 75% then stops.

What am i doing wrong?
Could it be something with my vehicle wiring? I would guess the strict USB connection from Laptop to the ECU would mean none of that would matter short of power to the ECU. I would also assume that is correct since it detects "Ignition on" in the KManager software.
If there are other factors in the wiring please let me know so i can check that the bare minimum requirements are to the ECU are met.

What happens if you go to the Online, Tools menu and erase the ECU?

Failed.
Not sure if its important but ignition was ON. After it failed Displayed Ignition OFF.
Cycled key and ig on returned.

What is the serial number that is on the K-Pro board inside the ECU?

This was tested here and was communicating and able to clear security and upload without any issues.

12.3v on a charger 13.7v
Is there any info you can give me on how you bench test these?
I'm sure you don't put them in a car to test but a bench top rig.
What are the power and ground wires you provide to the ECU for bench top testing?
I can then inspect those pins on my vehicle to make sure those are sound

Please send the ECU/K-Pro in using the same RMA number and include the form.

I'd rather not spend another 90 plus dollars in shipping for you to tell me the same thing. You already looked at this.

I'm at the point now where id just like to know what pins/wires you require for the ECU to operate outside the car so I can inspect those wires to make sure they have power/ground to have your board read/write.
I'm trying to get some info on how you bench test these so I can eliminate the car.

What you are describing has nothing to do with the car at this point. It is communicating and is just failing to upload or clear security so it will need to be sent to us to look at again. Previously you said it didn't connect at all, and we tested it and were able to upload.
