How to tune the MAF on an FL5

Post by qinyuan.zou »

When I tune the MAF on the FL5, should I refer to the short-term fuel trim (STFT) or the total fuel trim value?

You will want to look at the AF and the short term trim.

Sorry, I didn't catch that. Did you mean looking at the difference between AF and AFCMD?Could you explain it in more detail?

You will need to look at both and make necessary adjustments to the areas that need more or less fuel.

You should use Total Fuel Trim (STFT + LTFT) as your main reference when adjusting the MAF curve.

I tried, but from the logs I found that the short-term fuel trim (STFT) for many ranges is -0.5%, long-term fuel trim (LTFT) is 0, and the total fuel trim is -1.5%. So I don’t know whether to base it on STFT or total fuel trim

it sounds like your trims are already dialed in pretty well.
