K24a JDM 107 Deg Cam Angle

Post by ArcSol77 »

Working on finishing up a k24a JDM k swap. I had it running at one point but eventually it stopped working, and fixed the Crank Sensor wiring. I noticed it was reading 107 deg cam angle, so I bought and installed known working sensors for both the TDC and CPS sensors. After doing a continuity test on the Budget K swap harness from Rywire I found it wasn't labled or pinned properly, and it had the 2 cam sensors plugs swapped, I swapped them so they feed to their proper pin on the ECU connector A. Now when I crank it starts for a half a second and then read cam position jumps to 107 Degrees, and the rpm plateaus and the engine dies. I tried locking the VTC to 0 in kpro and cranked again and it read cam position as 0 but the rpm would still plateau and the motor would die. I dont know if it has something to do with the 50 deg VTC gear being slightly off/ not homing at 0 properly.
I will provide some images of the kpro readings, and another of the timing chain and cams:
