Acceleration Hesitation / Stuttering on 2022 CR-V

Post by scofield »

I am experiencing a noticeable hesitation / stuttering issue during acceleration on my 2022 Honda CR-V 1.5T. I have successfully captured the issue in a datalog.

Could you please help look into the log and see if it's caused by knock control, fueling issues, or boost limits? Any suggestions on how to tweak the calibration would be greatly appreciated.

Scofield..

You should post the calibration that the datalog was made with.

Hi Spunkster,

Thank you for the quick reply.
Unfortunately, I do not have the current calibration file that this datalog was made with, as it was previously tuned by someone else.
My plan is to start fresh and retune the car myself using a Hondata base map soon. However, since I encountered this noticeable stuttering issue during acceleration, I wanted to ask for your insights first based on the log alone, so I can know what to look out for or avoid when I start creating my own calibration.
Is there anything unusual standing out in the datalog that could explain this hesitation?

Thanks again for your help!

Hi Spunkster,

Please reference the attached image of the base map calibration. When accelerating and lifting off the throttle, the log shows a stepped curve. Is this behavior normal?

Could you please review the attached datalog and help analyze the acceleration hesitation/stuttering issue?

Are you datalogging with FlashPro manager, or are you pressing the datalog button on the FlashPro?

Yes, I pressed the datalog button on the FlashPro unit and then downloaded the log to FlashPro Manager on my PC.

In FlashPro manager, in the datalogging tab, what do you have the datalog rate set to?
