Am new here and a 1st time Hondata user trying to tune the car with a off the shelf hondata map.

- Purchased instant jailbreak, ensured I entered VIN correctly.
- Didn't use copy from Flashpro since I had to use another computer to buy the instant jailbreak. Instant jailbreak would not show in cart using the "tuning" laptop.
- The other computer used to purchase instant jailbreak was on VPN
- Flashpro manager V4.7.6
- Flashpro locked to ECU, and registered with Hondata with all green checks.
- Clicked on instant jailbreak after entering order number
- heard ECU initiate then a click sound on ECU.
- then right away, a dialog box opened up saying "jailbreak failed" with only a "Retry" button and i cannot close out of the dialog box.
- I had to hit retry several times, jailbreak failing several times to be able to return to the flashpro manager.
- By that time, all the error codes were on that dash.
- I didn't disconnect anything and clicked on "return ECU to stock". This took a while but eventually that worked and I turned off the car as instructed.

I was talking to Hondata support and was told the VIN is correct and to just try again.

Just want to know what, if anything, I should do differently when I reattempt to jailbreak it again.

Don't want to have it fail again and I have to do the return ECU to stock. That was a daunting long wait afraid that something would go wrong bricking the ECU. Car is a daily.

You just need to try jailbreaking again.

I just tried it again tonight.

The exact same thing happened. Says Jailbreak Failed. Dialog box only had retry button to press. After 5 times or so, can return to Hondata program and had to return ECU to stock.

This time I made sure my battery is charged. Connected to charger, Flashpro says ECU had 13.1V before I hit jailbreak.

I had sent feedback after returning car to stock.

When I bought the instant jailbreak, I manually copied and pasted the VIN onto the field, but chose the option Used flashpro to copy in VIN, instead of the option I typed in VIN.

Also, as mentioned, I used a 2nd computer that was on VPN to purchase the instant jailbreak, as the tuning laptop wouldn't let me add instant jailbreak into cart.

Not sure if the above matters.

Since I heard the ECU clicked and then immediately failed without any progress, I suspect it is a security handshake issue or some kind of program mismatch.

Having the same exact issue. Were you able to resolve it?

Same boat what’s the status/eta etc..?

Weare aware of an issue and are working to find a resolution.

What is the ETA for the service to be back online/available, and in the meantime what are our options, please advise/escalate.

Hopefully next week. There are no other options at this time but to wait.

No, I tried it again yesterday with the car battery charging, at 13V and NOT using a USB hub, still same thing. Jailbreak failed.

I took a couple pics of the screen, but I have no way of attaching it here.

Hondata last week advised me to send in the ECU.

Now that Hondata is working on a fix, I will wait since the ECU is not bricked and car is running.

Am i able to drive my car with a rv6 pipe without issues until hondata resolves the jailbreak issue?

I have catted DP, frontpipe, and catback. I'm driving it. It is fine, but it just doesn't drive as it should without the tune. Stock ECU is likely limiting throttle, and retarding timing due to the extra exhaust flow.
