questions regarding jdm fd2 asia functionality

hi everyone,

im new to hondata but not new to tuning and would like some clarification on the below questions, thanks

1. confusion on usable pin(s) for o2 wideband sensor

i can only see EGRL, ELD and ECT2 in the wideband voltage input dropdown in hondata.
Screenshot 2026-11-04 181317.png
however, hondata flashpro manual lists below pins as usable

A23, ELD - Electrical load input, Wideband input, ELD must be disabled & factory pin must be removed from the ECU connector.
A33, ECT2 - Coolant temperature sensor #2, Wideband input, ECT2 must be disabled & factory pin must be removed from the ECU connector.
B29, EGRL - EGR lift input, Wideband input, Normally unused.
C27, SO2 - Secondary O2 sensor input - Secondary O2 sensor must be disabled & factory pin must be removed from the ECU connector.

from viewtopic.php?t=10794, it says pin B29/EGRL will not work for the jdm rrc ecu as the circuitry does not exist

my question: does this mean i have to either use ELD or ECT2 for o2 wideband input?

2. can i remove both stock primary and stock secondary o2 sensors and use the external o2 wideband for closed loop afr?

if yes, do i hook up the external o2 wideband sensor's controller output to the stock primary o2 sensor's input and adjust the LAF voltage to lambda table accordingly? or... should i still follow how its done q. 1?

3. i see there are two types of maps listed under "New Calibration", RRC and Race. will both types of maps work on a jdm fd2 asia?

if yes, what exactly is the difference between these two types of maps other than different calibration tables/available features?
i dug through 10+ years of posts and concluded its something related to hybrid MAF+MAP and MAP only based logic

in the race maps most of the column indexes can be edited and most importantly, the ECT hot retard map and Throttle maps....
but then flat foot shifting only exist in the RRC map but not the RACE maps

If your ECU does not have these inputs, then they cannot be used.

Aftermarket widebands cannot be used to run closed loop.

With ethe ignition on and the software open, connect the FlashPro to the vehicle and laptop and click new calibration and it will default to calibrations compatible with your ECU.
