Euro Civic Type-R, jumping idle / surging under 3000 rpm

Ive been running the kpro ecu happily since last summer. Now suddenly one morning after I didnt use the car for 1 week I've got trouble. I have been running AEM CAI, DC race header and some funky german catback exhaust from TSS-tuning.
The cold idle was strangely high, and then soon it started to jump up and down between 1500 and 2500 rpm. It seemed to run ok otherwise, I didnt use the car much for a week, maybe 2 trips of 1 km each (if you can even call that driving). I though it was just the idle. No CEL and Kmanager didnt show any codes. Idle was going up and down slightly when cold even before, but not like this "up, down, up, down, up, down".
Now I had time to test it a bit more. Even after the car warms up, its the same, idle jumping up and down. Before the idle was like stock when warm. Also now when driving under 3000 rpm in certain conditions the car surges/slows down. Over 3000 rpm it seems to work ok. When warm, slowing to a light and sometimes it shot even over 3000 rpm.
I took the AEM CAI off the car and put the standard airbox back on the car, in case I need to take it in to the dealer for diagnosis. Same symptoms with the stock airbox/filter. Next thing I'll try is take the old stock ECU I still have and take the car to the dealer and see if they can find anything out. Any better ideas?
