Hondata

I've just recently had my OWN ecu chipped from hondata. Today I receive it back, and have a decent basemap to upload to my Type R. I load the Kpro software on my laptop, searched for updates and it duely updated it. I plug in the ECU and turn ign to 'on'. Basemap uploads BUT:

1. I have a constant CEL
2. The Immobiliser key light is constantly now flashing
3. The CEL code according to the kpro software is '0' Internal board malfunction or something like that.

Can anybody shed some light on this? Or do I have to send my ECU back to Hondata and get it checked out?

Its a UKDM 2004 EP3.

What calibration are you uploading into what ECU? It sounds like you're trying to put a UK calibration into a JDM ECU, or vice versa.

Its basically a basemap from a US tuner called 'Mase' he will be coming to properly tune it in January..

what now? Can I get a UK calibration??? I doubt if my ECU is JDM either..

You need to use a UK calibration in a UK ECU (which should be a PRA ECU).
