Ac fan/cooling fan

Ok, I setup my s300 to run the cooling fan at 190, it is only running the cooling fan alone, the ac fan is not coming on. Before the s300 change over to lower the temp both fans would come on. Is it a sensor that turns on both fans or is it is possibly a wiring issue. Id like to have both fans run whenever the temp temp I set is reached, but also to run as normal when the ac is activated.

That will be a wiring issue. Theck the helms manual for your car to find which wire you need to connect the AC fan to at the main fan relay.

so the fan override should turn both fans on

That all depends on how the car is wired.

its a 97 accord with a locash obd2-obd1 harness. the parameters are set only in s300 which made the fan override work, no wiring needed. i know that if the ac is on both fans are on. i just want to verify that the fan control in s300 is only for the radiator fan not the ac fan also. or that it will activate both fans directly.

That I cannot tell you, as it all depends on how the car is wired. If only one fan comes on then it sounds like it is only wired to make the main fan come on. You willl have to wire the AC fan relay to the main fan relay if you want them both to come on.

When the A/C is on, both fans should come on....
Both fans should still come on even though the temperature to activate has been lowered..

Hi Spunster,

Can you tell me why my override does not work?I set it at 80 degree but it follows the fan switch temp at 85 degree.

Can you tell me anyone tell me how to override it?

Do you actually have the FANC output wired to the fan relay?

it seems most likely that no car is wired correctly with so many complaints

Every 92-2000 Civic and 94-01 Integra that I have tried the FANC output on, works perfectly as intended.. The FANC output will normally only turn on the main cooling fan.

No rewiring needed, as all of the 92-2000 Civics and 94-01 Integras that I have tried it on, already have the FANC output connected to the radiator fan relay.. Hell, even the 88-91 Civic/CRX cars that I have tried it on work fine as well.. The Accords and Preludes sometimes have two fan switches, and are not always wired to the FANC output.. I'm pretty sure that you'd have to do some wiring to make it work in those cars, as they didn't come with the ecu type that we are using with the S300 anyway.. :)

It works perfectly in my 98 ITR. No modification to wiring needed, both fans come on.
