High pressure fuel pump control

Top  Previous  Next

FK2/FK8

If the FK2/FK8 high pressure fuel pump is changed then the ECU must use different parameters to control the fuel pump.

It is important to note:

After-market high pressure fuel pumps will not work using a stock ECU, a return to stock calibration, or any calibration without modified fuel pump parameters.
The stock high pressure fuel pump will not work if the ECU has a calibration with modified fuel pump parameters.

1.5T with Hondata Fuel System

For the 1.5T with the Hondata Fuel System, a modification is available which alters ECU setting for the fuel system.  It is possible to run the stock fuel system without disabling this modification.

HPFP Control

The HPFP control is enabled via the use of a software serial and key, which is distributed as a card with the Hondata Fuel System.

hpfp-control

Notes:

The HPFP control setting is stored permanently in the FlashPro.
If an after-market high pressure fuel pump in installed and you wish to test the vehicle as factory, use the 'factory settings calibration' with the HPFP modification installed.

HPFP PID and Feed Forward

These are advanced tables - knowledge of PID control and the way feed forward tables work is required.

It is recommended that the modification for HPFP is used unless there is a need to change the HPFP tables.
