Table lookup method

This option replaces the MAP sensor with the TPS sensor for table indexing. It is designed for use with individual throttle bodies, where the MAP sensor does not accurately reflect the engine air flow. In combination with altering the table load index values, the TPS can be used as the table index rather than the MAP sensor.

 

Modified TPS signal (Alpha-N)

 

This translates the TPS to the table lookup column index.

Map value with the throttle closed - is the assumed minimum MAP pressure equivalent. It is recommended to use 1 kPa.

 

Map value with the throttle closed - is the assumed maximum MAP pressure equivalent. Normally this will be close to atmospheric pressure and it is recommended to use 100 kPa.

 

Atmospheric pressure compensation - this will reduce fuel based on atmospheric pressure. Do not enable this option if the atmospheric pressure sensor is missing or disabled.

 

TPS range

 

This allows the throttle position sensor to be adjusted or re-scaled to suit slight variations in TPS sensor position or range. The normal TPS voltage range is 0.50V (closed) to 4.50V (open).

Minimum reading - is the default TPS reading when the throttle is fully closed. The Set button

 

Maximum reading - is the default TPS reading when the throttle is fully open.

 

Read - reads from the ECU and sets either the minimum or maximum throttle to the current TPS reading. When setting the minimum reading, ensure the throttle is fully closed, when setting the maximum, open the throttle fully. This should be not be done with the engine running.

 

Defaults - resets the minimum and maximum settings to standard defaults.

 

Disable TPS error - disables the out of range error code from the TPS.  Note that the vehicle will not operate correctly with a faulty or missing TPS.

 

Notes:

1. The minimum and maximum values are based on the default TPS range, and so will only be the same as the current TPS reading when the default TPS scale settings are in use.

2. This feature is not designed to correct a faulty TPS. The TPS must read at least 60% of the standard range.

3. If your TPS reads 100% when closed and 0% when open, re-pin the connector, swapping the VCC and GND pins.

4. If you generate TPS error codes then you have incorrect adjustments entered. Set the TPS settings to default, and re-adjust.

Overrun Fuel Cutoff (TPS)

 

This controls the point where the injectors are cutoff at low throttle openings.

Throttle - sets the throttle opening where injectors are cut.  This needs to be higher than the minimum TPS reading - between 0.5 and 1% usually works. well.

 

Delay - sets the delay between the throttle closing and the injector cut.

 

Overrun Fuel Cutoff (MAP)

 

This controls injector cutoff from low manifold pressure.

If the injectors cut off early, resulting in jerkiness, decrease the MAP pressure.  Usually 15 - 19 kPa for 500-4000 rpm works well.

 

Overrun Fuel Resume

 

These tables control the point where the injectors resume after fuel cutoff from overrun.

There are two tables - an table used for the first second or so after fuel cutoff (initial), and a table used after the first second or so (normal).

 

Note that you may need to power cycle the ignition after changing these tables.

 

Throttle Tip In Fuel

 

Normally the ECU will add extra fuel when the throttle is opened quickly.  There are two tables which control the amount of extra fuel:

The initial table is used immediately after startup, for approximately 90 seconds.  After that the normal table is used.
