Rev Limit Parameters |

This tab contains settings relating to the overall engine rev limiter and rev limiter type.
Overall Rev Limiter This is the main engine speed limiter value. The rev limiter is set for each gear. Neutral will use 1st gear settings (if a launch limiter does not apply).
This limits engine speed based on the speed sensor. Note that this is only useful when a rear wheel speed sensor is used.
Soft Limiter The soft limiter uses a progressive cylinder cut method to reduce engine power when near a rev limiter. The applies to all rev limits (overall, launch, shift, burnout).
Activation rpm sets the distance from the rev limiter where the soft limiter will activate. 'Late' will activate at the rev limiter; 'Early' is approx 200 rpm before the rev limiter.
Power Reduction sets the amount of power reduction on the soft rev limiter. 'None' is no power reduction, 'Maximum' is full power reduction.
Rev Limiter Type Select fuel or fuel and ignition based rev limiter.
The stock and recommended setting is a Fuel only rev limiter. By selecting Fuel + Ignition, the ignition is also cut when the rev limit is activated.
Important Note: Since the ECU igniter output is disabled when the ignition limiter is in effect and the stock tachometer is driven from the igniter, the tachometer will not work when the ignition cut rev limiter is in operation.
Speed Limiter A speed limiter may be set. This uses two parameters - the maximum speed, and the maximum rpm at that speed. The maximum rpm should be set to less than the engine rpm in top gear at the maximum speed
Note that the ECU logic only records speeds to 255 kph / 158 mph. Setting the maximum speed to 255 kph / 158 mph removes any speed limiter. |
