The S300v3 can output either RS232 or CAN serial information to the MoTeC dash. Either connection will work - you only need to use one method.
RS232 Setup
• | Wire the MoTeC dash RS232 InOut pin to the S300 232tx pin. |
• | In SManager under Parameters / Digital Input/Output / Digital Output select 'RacePak IQ3'. |
• | Upload the calibration to the ECU. |
• | In the MoTeC dash manager under 'Communications Setup' set the RS232 to the 'Hondata' template. |
CAN Setup
• | Wire the MoTeC dash CANH and CANL to the S300 CANH & CANL pins. |
• | Install a 120 ohm resistor between CANH and CANL. |
• | In SManager under Parameters / Digital Input/Output / CAN Output select 'MoTeC SDL/ADL'. |
• | Upload the calibration to the ECU. |
• | You will need CAN templates for the dash. This file is located on the Hondata website under 'downloads'. |
• | Copy the Hondata_660.CC7 to Hondata_666.CC7 files into the MoTeC dash manager directory. This may be 'C:\Program Files (x86)\MoTeC\Dash\Comms Setup' or 'C:\Program Files (x86)\MoTeC\Dash\Sport Dash Manager 1.6\Comms Setup' or similar (it depends on the dash and dash manager software). |
• | In the MoTeC dash manager under 'Communications Setup' set the CAN 1 to CAN 7 inputs to use the Hondata_660.CC7 to Hondata_666.CC7 templates. |
• | Power cycle the dash. Power cycle the ECU with the USB disconnected. |
• | Test using Online -> Monitor Channels. |
